Mahogany Queen Anne Arm Chair
Item Number: 99039 Exceptional period 18th century Queen Anne Arm Chair; The crest rail on this mahogany chair has a beautiful shell carved motif as does the front of the seat rail. The trophy shaped back splat is decorated on the left and right sides with a leaf carving. This outstanding chair has a balloon shaped seat covered with very old needlepoint. It is in exceptional "as found" condition with only minor repairs. The well defined front cabriole legs have shell carvings at the top and end in carved trifid Drake feet. The gracefully carved arms end with extremely detailed carved eagles´ heads.
